Sponsorship and Naming: The race is currently sponsored by PostNord, the national postal agency for Denmark and Sweden. It has had several names over the years, including „Post Danmark Rundt“ and „Bikuben Danmark Rundt“ in its early days.
Course: The race traditionally starts on the Jutland peninsula and finishes on the island of Zealand, often on Frederiksberg Allé in Copenhagen. A key feature of the race is a hilly stage that includes the steep street of Kiddesvej in the city of Vejle. This stage, along with a time trial, is often a deciding factor in the general classification.

- Jakob Fuglsang (DEN) holds the record for the most overall wins, with three victories in a row from 2008-2010.
